# Install certificate on shared hosting

#### Install certificate with intermediate and key

Before you start, you should have a copy of the certificate, intermediate, and key. [Click here for a guide if you ordered via https://my.servetheworld.net](https://faq.servetheworld.net/myserve/en/ssl-sertifikat/administrere-ssl-sertifikat)
Save the certificate, intermediate, and key in one and the same text document, see example below.

Save the file as e.g. **file-name.pem** or **file-name.crt**

\-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
(certificate)
\-----END CERTIFICATE-----
\-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
(intermediate)
\-----END CERTIFICATE-----
\-----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY-----
(private key)
\-----END PRIVATE KEY-----

1. Log in to <https://my.servetheworld.net>
2. Go to **Products** and select **My Products**
3. Select the relevant web hosting/domain name
4. Click **Advanced settings**
5. Go to **Websites & Domains** and find the relevant domain name
6. Click **SSL/TLS Certificates**
7. A) Select **Upload .PEM file** if you have not installed an SSL certificate for the domain name before. B) Click **Advanced Settings** if an existing certificate is installed, then click **ADD SSL/TLS CERTIFICATE**

**A)** Select the file that contains the **certificate, intermediate, and key**. The certificate is now installed and will automatically be used by the relevant domain name (you do not need to follow the rest of the guide).

**B)** Follow the guide further if there is already an (expired/old) certificate installed and you want to install a new certificate.

8. Enter a name that describes the certificate in the **Certificate Name** field
9. Find the **Upload the certificate as text** field and paste in the certificate, intermediate, and key
10. Click **Upload Certificate**
11. The certificate, intermediate, and key are now installed.
12. Go back to **Websites & Domains** and find the relevant domain name
