Installation on Linux

For Linux distributions that do not use RPM, for example. Ubuntu / Debian, RPM must be installed (apt-get install rpm) The agent requires the following packages installed on the server (you will be notified if you want to install these at short notice):

  • Log in to and download .bin file for Linux
  • Transfer .bin file to your server
  • Change the file to executable with command: chmod + x filename.bin
  • Run installation: ./filen.bin
  • Select Acronis Backup Agent for Linux
  • Wait for installation to complete
  • Select Show Registration Info
  • Open browser and go to specified address and fill in Registration Code
  • Fill out Registration Code and click Confirm Registration
  • The shell installation goes on automatically and select Exit to complete When the installation is complete, the server will be visible in the administration interface in a short space of time.

Click ENABLE BACKUP in the list of DEVICES to enable backup

Uninstall agent

Log in via SSH and run the following command

/ usr / lib / Acronis / BackupAndRecovery / uninstall / uninstall -a

Restore VPS

  1. Log in to the VPS control panel
  2. Go to VPS Configuration and change Boot Order by clicking and drag CD DRIVE over HARD DISK
  3. Select Acronis_boot_media.iso in the field SELECT ISO
  4. Click SUBMIT to save
