Spamfilter

This is how you manage spam filters for email accounts. SpamAssassin filtering is only available for Linux-based web hosting.

You can improve the spam filter by continuously moving junk mail from your Inbox to the Spam folder, and moving non-spam emails from Spam to your Inbox.
This can be done in your own email client, or by logging into webmail at your domain name, e.g. https://webmail.yourdomain (replace yourdomain with your own domain name).

Where do I find settings related to the Spam Filter?

  1. Log in to https://my.servetheworld.net
  2. Go to Products and select My Products
  3. Select Manage on the relevant web hosting
  4. Click on Plesk
  5. Click on Mail on the left
  6. Click on the relevant email account
  7. Click on the Spam Filter tab

Activate spam filter on an email account

  1. Log in to https://my.servetheworld.net
  2. Go to Products and select My Products
  3. Select Manage on the relevant web hosting
  4. Click on Plesk
  5. Click on Mail on the left
  6. Click on the relevant email account
  7. Click on the Spam Filter tab
  8. Check Switch on spam filtering for this email address and Move spam to the Spam folder
  9. Click OK to save

Change spam filter sensitivity

If you experience that the spam filter is not catching spam based on the above settings, you can change the sensitivity of the filter.
NB - After making changes, it is advisable to keep a close eye on your emails as well as emails marked as spam, as the change may cause legitimate emails to be incorrectly marked as spam.

  1. Log in to https://my.servetheworld.net
  2. Go to Products and select My Products
  3. Select the relevant web hosting / domain name
  4. Click on Plesk
  5. Click on Mail on the left
  6. Click on the relevant email account
  7. Click on the Spam Filter tab
  8. Click on Show Advanced Settings
  9. Change the value in the Spam filter sensitivity field
    • Setting a lower value, e.g. from 7 to 6, makes the filtering more aggressive and will potentially catch more spam.
    • If you want less strict filtering, increase the value, e.g. from 7 to 8.
  10. Click OK to save settings
