Change ownership of .no domains to an organization

The price for a .NO ownership change is NOK 395 excl. VAT and includes one year of renewal of the domain name from the date the ownership change is completed.

To change ownership of a .no domain, two (2) forms must be signed and sent to support@servetheworld.net.

FORM 1)

A contact person or a board member in the old company (regardless of whether the company has already been dissolved) or the private individual who currently owns the domain(s) must fill out and sign the form at https://servetheworld.net/doc/abonnentbytteskjema-v2.0.pdf

FORM 2)

The company taking over the domain(s) must sign the electronic form at https://samtykke.norid.no/

  1. Go to https://samtykke.norid.no/

    • Tick "I will order a domain name for a company or other organization"
    • Click the "Continue" button
  2. Enter the new organization number and the domain name(s)

    • Do not type www. in front of the domain name
    • Click the "Continue" button
  3. Enter your name in the field "My name is"

    • Tick that you accept the terms
    • Click the "Continue" button
  4. You must now download the file with the self-declaration, alternatively send a copy to your own email address.

Both forms, subscriber transfer and self-declaration, should preferably be sent together.
Remember to provide contact information for the new owner/company, contact person, and email address.

Change ownership of .no domains to a private individual

Remember to provide contact information for the new owner. The price for a .NO ownership change is NOK 395 excl. VAT and includes one year of renewal of the domain name from the date the ownership change is completed.

To change ownership of a .NO domain, two (2) forms must be scanned and emailed to support@servetheworld.net.

To change ownership of a .NO domain, you must have a valid PID number (personal identifier). Generate your PID number here: https://pid.norid.no/personid/lookup

The private individual taking over the domain(s) must sign the electronic form at https://samtykke.norid.no/

  1. Click the link: https://samtykke.norid.no/
    • Tick "I am applying as a private individual"
    • Click the "Continue" button
  2. Enter the PID number (personal identifier) and the domain name(s)
    • Do not type www. in front of the domain name
    • Click the "Continue" button
  3. Enter your name in the field "My name is"
    • Tick that you accept the terms
    • Click the "Continue" button
  4. You must now download the file with the self-declaration. Keep one copy and forward one copy to support@servetheworld.net.

Both forms, subscriber transfer and self-declaration, must be sent together. You may want to label the email "Ownership change - domain name".


Change ownership for other domains (e.g. .com .net .info .org)

To change ownership of international domains, it is sufficient to log in to your web account at https://my.servetheworld.net and update the details.

As part of the change, a change request will be sent to the new owner’s email address to confirm the change (you click a link in an email).
